Celebrating sisterhood at Hope Springs Institute near Peebles Ohio, just over an hour from the church. Explore what is sacred and divine while building trust and intimacy with your heritage sisters!
Plenty of free time this year!
If you identify yourself as an adult women of Heritage UU Church, we would love to have you join us to celebrate life, friendship, and sisterhood. Let’s take time to nurture our spiritual selves, our friendships, and our bond as women. Come together for spiritual workshops, discussion groups, crafts, or take time to rejuvenate yourself with a long hike or a good book! No matter what your needs are, there will be something for everyone. Workshops and groups are flexible so do what meets your needs. Shelley Graff will join us again this year to lead Singing in Sacred Circle. After great thought and discussion, the Heritage Women’s group has decided to alternate every year between an adult-only retreat and a retreat including breastfeeding mothers. This is the year that is designated for females over the age of 18. There are four $125 scholarships available this year. Please contact Julie Kane for more information.
Just $260 for the entire weekend from 1:00 p.m. Friday (dinner begins at 6:30) to 4:00 p.m. Sunday (lunch concludes at 2:00 p.m.).
Please be sure you read and understand these important dates and details: Make your $75 deposit by June 18th to hold your space for the retreat. Full payment is due by September 3rd. We cannot guarantee a refund after September 3rd. Make your checks payable to HUUC. Please give your deposit to Julie Kane or place in the Clara Barton mailbox in the Heritage office. You will receive an email in September with all of the details that you will need for the retreat. We usually have an informal meeting on Sunday, September 17th during the potluck to arrange carpooling and roommates.
Louise Lawarre and Tracy Jo will co-lead this year’s retreat. Meals are sumptuous and mostly vegetarian with some chicken and fish. Most bedrooms are double occupancy, some are triples which have their own bathroom. Other sleeping arrangements include one rustic tepee, cots and tent camping. All sleeping accommodations are priced the same. Hope Springs is alcohol free and is handicapped accessible.
